CSAAW - Meeting Schedule
The regular meeting time is Thursdays, 12.00-2.00pm.
The place depends on the size of the event but in general it will
either be in the CSCS lab at 4472 Randall Lab or at a room to be
determined in the Rackham building. For relevant meetings below

- During the summer of 2004, CSAAW will join forces with the CSRG
(Complex Systems Reading Group) to read over Gary Flake's book, "The
Computational Beauty of Nature." If you are interested in joining us

- Thursday, 4/29/04, Noon to 1 PM, 120 Dennison, Ravi Bhavani
(University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign) will present on his
research in a talk entitled, Using Agent-Based Models to
Study of Ethnic Violence, Popular Rebellion, and Civil War. This talk will be open to the public.
Beverages and snacks to be provided.

(University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign) will meet with CSAAW
dissertation students to discuss his experiences as a professor of
Political Science and his work with Complex Systems. Lunch will be

research, all CSAAW dissertation students, as well as any cognizant

perceptual generalization capabilities of Hebb's cell assembly This talk will

(Cambridge College) will meet with CSAAW dissertation students to
discuss her experiences with Hebbian Networks and Complex Systems.

(Penn State University) will present on his research with regards to
GIS, Agent-Based Modeling and Complex Systems in a talk titled,
Schelling bound and unbound: modeling
residential segregation with complex spatial strucure based on
this paper.
This talk will be open to the public.

(University of Buffalo) presented her work, How do I Know Thee: A Simulation Study of
Direct and Third Party Information on Social Network Evolution, at a
joint CSCS and CSAAW seminar.

Organizational Meetings
We started out this with two organizational meetings last semester,
the times and dates are listed below.
For core group organizational meetings, the place will be
in the CSCS Commons, or in alternative CSCS meeting area,
at the back of the Open Lab.
